Yesterday, Amanda Bynes simply tweeted out “I’m Britney Spears“.

Ever since Bynes tweeted about wanting Drake to “murder” her you-know-what, we’ve all pretty much grown accustomed to ignoring her social media account, or at least discounting its validity.

Some of her finest tweets that have turned us off:

“I was born with a webbing in between my eyes. That was a birth defect that I had surgically removed!”

“I have an eating disorder,so I have a hard time staying thin.”

“I buzzed half my head like Cassie! No more old photos!”

“I need to get another nose job after seeing my mugshot!”

“I could never marry a German because I’m Jewish.”

“Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are ugly!”

While her past tweets are pretty insane, her newest “crazy” tweet about Ms. Spears actually sort of makes sense.

Well, we know that she obviously isn’t Britney Spears.

Sorry girl, but you don’t look like this:

However, it’s possible that she’s been living her life thinking that she’s Britney Spears for quite some time now.

We started to look into the theory and the evidence is substantial…

1999: Amanda teaches Nick Drake the “…Oops I Did It Again” dance on “The Amanda Show”.

Take a look at the clip above. It may look like an innocent teen trying to mimic Britney’s dance moves, but if you stay tuned until the end, Amanda does the dance again, only this time she does it while assuming a new identity.

This is when the Spears Syndrome first became apparent.

2000: Britney Spears guest stars on “All That”.

After Britney Spears guest starred on “All That”, things were never the same. Amanda’s interaction with Britney must have solidified her identify crisis.

Notice how Britney discounts everything “All That” says about her. We’re pretty sure Amanda was behind this.

2003: Amanda stars in “What a Girl Wants”.

The title of the movie says it all. Amanda was clearly trying to overpower Britney’s pop star rival at the time, Christina Aguilera.

This was a cry for help that no one, not even Christina Aguilera, could hear.

February of 2010: Amanda Bynes is on the cover of Maxim Magazine.

Guess who was on the cover of the January 2010 issue?

Amanda’s Spears Syndrome was obvious by this time.

June 2010: Amanda announces that she is retiring from acting.

By 2010, Amanda decided to leave the acting world to fully commit to her Britdentity.

2013: Amanda shaves her head, goes to rehab, and surrenders conservatorship to her parents.

While we try to forget about Britney’s past, she also went through all of these things from 2007 to 2010.

Judging by the pop star’s timeline, it looks like Amanda should be out of the woods shortly.

We can only hope that a cure for Spears Syndrome will be discovered soon.
